Updates for the Val d’Isere ski area this winter

Val d’Isere is constantly working on improving everyone’s experience of the ski area, and has some great new updates in store this winter..
Top of the Vallon gondola: an immersive experience on Mont Iseran
Following on from the installation of the new Vallon gondola last winter, a cosy and welcoming new top station is being unveiled, inspired by the mountain with its wood and stone decor. An optical image immerses visitors in the story of a legendary 17th-century ascent, for a spot of Alpine history.
Vallon de l’Iseran, a new experience on the mountain
At the top of the Fornet cable car, a new relaxation area has been opened for visitors as they wait to hop on the Vallon gondola. With its large bay windows looking out across the valley floor, this cocoon is like a mountain refuge, the perfect place for a break before you head up to the high mountain on the Vallon gondola.
The iconic pink cabin on the Olympique gondola gets a facelift
This winter, the pink gondola cabin has been given a makeover and its design now evokes dreams, childhood memories and a magical land. This winter, hop on the Olympique gondola and embark on a timeless voyage up the mountainside!
Pedstrian access with a QR code
Pedestrians can access the ski lifts directly from their smartphones by scanning a QR code, available on the app, website and at points of sale. In addition to the terminal at La Daille, which was commissioned last season, new terminals have been installed this season at Solaise and Le Fornet. At altitude, there are several walking areas in these different sectors.
Two new terraces on the ski area
Le Fornet (Vallon-Iseran sector): A new terrace with a relaxation area, orientation table and binoculars allow you to admire the Galise and Tsanteleina peaks.
Madeleine (Solaise sector): A terrace with a relaxation area, orientation table and binoculars offers breathtaking views of the Charvet rock and Sana peak.
New Easy Skiing signs on the Bellevarde
A new set of Ski Tranquille signs were installed last season on the Solaise sector of the ski area. Continuing with these measures – which aim to make life easier for beginner skiers – the Bellevarde sector has also been equipped with these special signs this season. They help beginners to find their way around on green and blue slopes, thanks to logos, arrows and flags. Signs directing them to the gondolas have also been installed to show them the way back to resort. Details of all the itineraries can be found on the Val d’Isère Ski app.
