Tete de Solaise – one of our favourites for food and views!

What: A great place to stop off for food or drink on the mountain

Why: Superb food and service.. and the views!

Where: At the top of the Solaise

When: Daily from  9am to 5pm

This is one of our favourite places to eat on the mountain in Val d’Isere. We had a lovely lunch here recently, the food was spot-on, as was the service. Karen in particular, who seated us, went out of her way to be helpful, and found us a great table. To top it all off the views are really spectacular.

With a restaurant, pizzeria, bar and a self-service area it makes for a great lunch stop, snack spot or just for a drink on a sunny day. A large outside terrace with a bar in a tent serves a range of drinks from vin chaud and hot chocolate to champagne, wine and beer.

The restaurant is also located on the terrace inside a tent allowing you to dine on a good or bad weather day with exceptional panoramic mountain views. Choose from a range of traditional fine French cuisine including filet de boeuf, risotto, scallops and much more.

The self-service offers traditional French food and snacks with tartiflette, hamburgers and grills making up the menu here. The pizzeria menu can be enjoyed outside on the terrace in the sunshine or inside the cosy mountain interior, the perfect meal for a quick mountain lunch.
