New ski touring track this winter

What: New ski touring track

Why: Expanding the ski touring possibilities in Val d’Isere

Where: La Daille

When: All winter

After the lift closures last year more and more people have been discovering the joys of ski touring in the Val d’Isère area, spending an entire winter walking up the downhill slopes.  To expand the options available for this winter, a new track is being made in the La Daille sector, allowing you to climb 450m D+ for 2.5km in Trifollet, with a bridge over the Lost Valley and snow-covered ruins.

The Solaise ski touring slope is still in place with a relatively technical 400m D+ with conversions in the Rogoney forest.

It’s a great way to experience the mountain and get those thigh muscles working hard, with the reward of an amazing ski down at the end of it!
