La Plage de L’Ouillette – a mountain restaurant in a stunning location!

La Plage de l’Ouillette is a fabulous mountain restaurant in the heart of the Solaise massif, overlooking the frozen Ouillette lake. Completely renovated in 2023, this luxurious chalet of blond wood is set in the rock, in a sublime setting perched between lake and mountain. There’s a large south-facing terrace to make the most of the view on those sunny days, and the indoor restaurant upstairs has beautiful panoramic windows for a more sheltered experience.

There are three separate dining areas :

1) The “La Guinguette” snack bar : For refreshments, hot drinks, and quick bites. This is the place to go between runs, to enjoy sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers.
2) The brasserie “La Plage de l’Ouillette” . Located on the ground floor, this relaxed restaurant offers a “beach” atmosphere right in the mountains. Perfect for soaking up the sun on the terrace or dining inside on cooler days, here you can enjoy traditional mountain cuisine, as well as their barbecue specialties.
3) The restaurant “Le Brigitte” . Located upstairs, its large bay window offers a breathtaking mountain vista.  Its specialty is the brasero. Lovers of tomahawk steaks, meats, the catch of the day, and grilled prawns will be in heaven. A giant brazier sits alongside a barbecue grill, perfect for sizzling superb grilled dishes.
