Why: An opportunity for everyone to experience E-biking

Last weekend saw the launch of the first Tignes-Val d’Isere E-Bike Festival, initiated by the organisers of the Freeride World Tour. The E-Bike Festival offered the opportunity to discover the sport, testing electric bikes with gourmet circuits, discovery trails and an elite race over the course of several days.

For three days, visitors to the festival were invited to join the e-bike community and take advantage of exclusive new products offered by around 30 exhibitors.

There were four different experiences to try out e-biking:

• – E-bike test: more than 30 renowned brands from the e-bike industry came to exhibit their latest additions
• – The gourmet “pedal and savour” hike: this was a chance to pedal at your own pace and enjoy a break and bite to eat at the various gourmet stages.
• – Discovery routes: seven e-bike discovery routes from intermediate to expert level for a fantastic experience – travelling by lakes, glaciers, and high mountain landscapes from the two resorts.
• – The elite E-Bike Word Tour race “E-Bike Tour Haute tarentaise” : reserved for expert riders looking for thrills and the chance to surpass themselves. This was two days of races along the routes of Haute Tarentaise for the grand finale.

Although unfortunately it did rain for some of the festival, a great time was had by those that came to enjoy the E-bike experience, and we hope this will become a regular fixture on the summer programme in Val d’Isere !
