This year is the 64th edition of the key event for the world’s top ski racers, the legendary « Critérium de la Première Neige » with Val d’Isere offering them the terrain for a performance of a lifetime. And with such a fantastic start to the season with amazing snow conditions it’s sure to be a great couple of weekends of racing and entertainments!

On the eve of each race, an incomparable moment is the bib ceremony, which is held on elegantly bedecked Olympic Avenue, in the very heart of the village of Val d’Isère.  Over the years, magicians and dancers from the famous LIDO in Paris have entertained with their stage performances, to make this event a unique and unforgettable celebration. These days, the youngest skiers from the Club Des Sports are honoured with the duty of giving their bibs to their skiing idols, a task they carry out with stars in their eyes.

It’s an intense sporting event with 4 ski world cup races . Come and cheer on the best skiers in the world on the fabulous Val d’Isère runs.

The organizing teams and the partners have also prepared a full line up of activities, suitable for all ages and available throughout the two weekends of competition. Activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy will make your Critérium de la Première Neige an unforgettable experience

Saturday 14th: Men’s GS

  • 08:30 – Village opening
  • 09:30 – 1st run
  • 13:00 – Top 30 2nd run
  • 17:30 – Prize giving ceremony & bib draw (Avenue Olympique)

Sunday 15th: Men’s slalom

  • 8:30 – Village opening
  • 9:30 – 1st run
  • 12:30 – Top 30 2nd run
  • After the race – Prize giving ceremony & bib draw at the finish

  • Saturday 21st: Ladies downhill
  • 09:00 – Village opening (Daille)
  • 10:30 – Downhill ladies
  • 18:15 – Prize giving ceremony & Bib draw (Avenue Olympique)
  • Sunday 22nd: Ladies Alpine Combined
  • 09:00 – Village opening (Daille)
  • 11:00 – Super G ladies
  • 14:00 – Slalom ladies
  • Prize giving ceremony at the end of the race
