Covid measures in Val d’Isere this winter

What:  Covid measures in Val d’Isere

Why: To keep everyone safe

Where: Val d’Isere

When: Throughout the winter season

To make sure everyone stays safe and well in the ongoing situation this winter, Val d’Isère has implemented strict hygiene and cleaning protocols, and is doing everything possible to ensure that all national guidelines are adhered to in public spaces : social distancing, markers on the floor, plexiglass screens, and hand sanitiser dispensers have been provided. Face masks must be worn by everyone aged 11 and over in the shuttle buses, hire shops, in shops and bars/restaurants until seated, and in all ski lifts and in the waiting lines. Skiers are required to wear a surgical mask or a category 1 fabric mask (AFNOR SPEC S76-001 certification). Certified neck covers will be allowed as an alternative to masks. If you are on the chairlift, the mask can be removed once you are in the open air.

Covid pass

The Covid pass (Pass Sanitaire) applies to adults and children over 12 years old from 4th December. You must be double vaccinated to use the ski lifts and to enter bars and restaurants, or provide a negative test result. An antigen test can be used to activate the Covid pass for use in bars and restaurants, this is valid for 24 hrs. After the 15th Jan, your 2nd vaccine needs to be within the last 7 months or you need to have had your booster/3rd jab.

A dedicated covid-19 testing (PCR and antigen) centre will be available to all Val d’Isère guests in the centre of the resort.  There will be an online scheduling platform where you can create an account and book an appointment window. This service will be offered in English and French. Price is 40€. The antigen test will be valid for 24 hrs.

This centre is reserved for asymptomatic people only. In case of symptoms guests should contact one of Val d’Isère’s medical centres.
