Val d’Isere Christmas Village runs from December 23rd to 27th with a whole host of festive events. From giant snow and ice sculptures, torchlit descents, concerts and pageantry, and the arrival of Father Christmas, get down and join in the fun in the centre of resort.
– Giant Snow Sculptures:
Five snow sculptures, created by Christian Burger and his team, can be found not only around the village and in front of the church, but also in Le Fornet and La Daille
– Christmas scenes carved in ice around the village from 4pm to 7pm
– The Christmas Igloo (NEW) from December 23rd to 25th from 4.30pm to 7pm. Pre-booking required at the Tourist Office
Discover Santa Claus`s igloo near the Adroit farm and meet his storytelling elves for storytime and creative workshops!
FULL PROGRAMME
Monday 23rd:
Free traditional Christmas chocolates from Val d`Isere Telepheriques at the sales desks.
Special Christmas guided tour, 5pm in French & 6pm in English
Tuesday 24th:
Father Christmas and his elves will arrive outside the Tourist Office in Val d’Isere on December 24th at 5pm and you can pay him a visit the company of his little helpers, where you can hand him your Christmas wish list or have your photo taken. Santa also likes a ski, and can be spotted out on the slopes earlier in the day. From 10am midday he can be found on the Snowfront (Village and Savonnette lifts), and from 2pm to 4pm at the top of the Solaise.
Wednesday 25th:
Experience the magic of Christmas in the Alps with on Christmas Day, with entertainment and fireworks on the slopes of Val d’Isere. The ESF ski instructors will treat you to a torch lit descent and ski show while you enjoy a glass of mulled wine. The party starts from 6pm at the Savonnette nursery slope, and entry is free.
Thursday 26th:
Magic show and illusions with the famous magician ERIK PARKER at the Conference Centre at 6pm
Christmas concert with a marching band in the streets of the village and on stage with ATYPIQUE GROOVE from 4.30pm to 6.30pm
Friday 27th:
Christmas ski race with DYNASTAR
Meet the CHRISTMAS ELVES on the streets of Val d’Isère from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm
